I appreciate it. For me as a player I try to lead by example. Try to minimize mistakes and try to play at a high level consistently. So when you do say something it really hits home. -

Who is your favorite player in Panthers history?

There's a couple. I would go with Steve smith because of his ability to make a big play and always be consistent. Sam Mills, just because of his character, based on what I've heard. A guy who's long gone that I never had the opportunity to meet, but still an example to follow. Dan Morgan because of his ability to never quit, to deal with adversity and truly play for the love of the game. -

I don't have a favorite. too many good ones to choose from but I'll give you five. if I had to pick a cartoon I'd say Lion King. Count of Monte Christo for great acting and a great story line. Men of Honor was a good one. a very prideful movie. If I had to pick a romance I'd say Love and basketball. For a comedy, I'll go with Life. I love Martin. I gotta go with that. -

Which of the Panthers rookies do you see having the most immediate impact this season?

Greg Hardy, a defensive end. He played at a high level in the SCC out of Ole Miss. When he was healthy he was considered one of the top DEs in the nation. and Brandon Lafell. He just looks really consistent through OTAs and with the WR position being open opposite Steve Smith, I look for him to really challenge Dwayne Jarrett for the starting job. -

Many fans have their concerns regarding stopping the run this coming season. Lack of size and experience up front, being their reasons. What's your thoughts on this?

Based on last year, it's an area we have to improve. We have some new faces, guys that can help. But the biggest thing we can do to improve is being consistent in our gaps and minimizing our mistakes. -

When healthy, I'd say Thomas Davis is the biggest freak on the team. The biggest freak of all time is Julius Peppers though. -

Derrick Brooks because we have a similar story. Played safety in college, moved to LB where he was exceptional. His speed was probably his best physical attribute, along with his knowledge of the game and ability to be a leader. -

What is a normal day in the life of an NFL linebacker?

A normal day in the offseason would be waking up at 5 am, working out by 6. Then I start my diet, which consists of nine meals a day. Take a nap to recover, then I work out again at 7. -
