    Adam Rank, NFL.com

So what’s up people, any news going on? Oh right. I am pleased to be here, though. I have been working with NFL.com since 1995 and not only is this my first ever chat, I finally got a pass to the employee parking lot this week. Red letter day. Well, I have looked over your fantasy questions and I am ready to jump in.

But let me first say this. Favre is coming back in Week 9, right? Not only is he tired of training camp, he has found the first two months of the season to be a drag, too. Even Ric Flair said today that he feels that Favre should honor the word ‘retirement.’

    Alright, let’s go.

Is Michael Turner going to go nuts this season for the Falcons or what?
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

How could I not make this question first with a name like that? Love Michael Turner and the Falcons this year. Remember, teams that swoon in the NFC South one year, rise again the following year. The Buccaneers ruin that trend this year, but the Falcons will bounce back. (If you can bounce back from a 9-7 season.)

I remember that Jason La Canfora was ready to put Matt Ryan in the Hall of Fame last year. But he was a year off. Ryan will be the bees’ knees this year.

I know there are concerns about Turner coming off the dreaded curse of 370, but look at the guys who have been taken out by the curse of 370. Larry Johnson, Jamal Lewis and Ricky Williams. Of course, Lewis was in jail, and Williams quit to teach yoga. Turner has had only one season where he’s carried a heavy load, learned his lesson last year and is now in the best shape of his life. Look for Turner to have a big season. Count it.

Hi, in a keeper league with Gore and Beanie Wells on my roster. Got 1st overall pick. Chris Johnson or Aaron Rodgers?
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

You are set at running back, Adam. Go with Aaron Rodgers here. Then you are set, mate.

Where does "The Number of the Beast" rank in your all-time songs power rankiings?
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

If there was a fantasy draft for Iron Maiden songs, that would be the undisputed No. 1 pick. My super sleepers: "The Prisoner" and "Holy Smoke."

    4:02 PM ET

What do you think about Matt Forte? Do you think he could produce more than my starters?(Steven Jackson and Michael Turner)
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

Again, I love Turner. Not so high on Jackson. But Forte is a good third back right there.
  • Gavin, Buffalo

    4:02 PM ET

im in a ppr league how do you thing should get the start adrian peterson or cedric benson
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    AD, Gavin. All Day.

    Nice.

    4:04 PM ET

Hi Adam, I have the 9th pick in a ppr league of 12 would you target a rb or wr? Who do you feel will fall to this spot? Thank you
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

Miles Austin. He will fall to you Robert. Pick him. I may spend too much time with Gil Brandt, but I dig Miles.
  • Donald Rose, SouthWest VA

    4:04 PM ET

With Miami's Dozing Running game, why aren't they even mention in the top 10 or even top 20?After all this year will be even better with what could be a dominant passing game. You can't stop both, right?
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

Love them as a team. But the duo splits carries, which hurts them in fantasy. I do like the Dolphins a lot this year. Chad Henne should be on your fantasy radar this year, Donald.
  • Brandon, everywhere

    4:05 PM ET

I have the 2nd pick in one of my league do i A.. take either AP or CJ who ever is left over. Or B do i grab MJD... I am a big fan of MJD but not sure if its a smart move.
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

You obviously want MJD, so take him Brandon. Dude, this is your team. Get players that you want. And remember, nobody who has rushed for more than 2,000 yards in a season has ever topped 1,500 the following year. And this Favre stuff could really deflate the Vikings season. In other words, there is risk with everybody. If you want your guy, draft him. MJD is a smart move.
  • Priyank Patel, Dallas, Texas

    4:06 PM ET

I have first overall pick. Should I get Chris Johnson or Adrian Peterson. And why?
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

Trade down. As I told Brandon, there are questions with both guys. Of the two, I like Peterson because the Vikings still have a good team. And really, the numbers do not lie about guys who rush for more than 2,000 yards in a season. That is a huge stop sign for me.

Gil Brandt talked about this today, Priyank, that the Vikings could be deflated, so there is risk. But of the two guys you have given me, I am more of an AD guy.
  • Seamus, Ireland

    4:08 PM ET

Who would go first in an NFL WAGs fantasy draft?
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

Carmella DeCesare if Jeff Garcia is still in the league.
  • Al, Wisconsin

    4:09 PM ET

Do you think Taylor Price is worth picking up in Dynasty leagues,or what keepers can you suggest? Thanks, Adam
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

Wow, I was not expecting this question, Al. I will say that the Patriots really like him. Of course, we will see what happens when the pads get on. But there is talk that Torry Holt could be in trouble if Price can make strides in camp. The Patriots will get younger.

Look for Joe Webb in your dynasty league. Gil Brandt said today that he has been the talk of the Vikings’ OTAs.
  • Dan, Va

    4:10 PM ET

Adam, I'm in a ten team standard scoring league. If I end up with a late pick in the first round do I go RB like D.Williams or someone that would be around there or should I go ahead and take a top QB like Rodgers?
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

Rodgers has been flying off the boards in the mock drafts that I am doing, Dan. So he might be long gone. I would imagine that you can do better at the end of the first round of a standard 10-team league. In fact, DeAngelo will be available to you in the second round. Look for Ryan Mathews. Or maybe go WR with Andre Johnson and then get your RB.
  • Chris, Philadelphia

    4:11 PM ET

My keepers are Adrian Peterson and Andre Johnson. In a PPR, 6 pts for passing td league, who do I draft with my first overall pick? Drew Brees, Randy Moss, or Steven Jackson?
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

Love that team. Moss or Brees. For sure. I’d lean toward Brees, Chris.
  • Chris, Boston

    4:12 PM ET

Is Forte still a rb2 or is he more suited for flex or high end rb3?
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

I like Forte as a No. 2 back if you can land a stud RB with your first pick. The good thing is, Forte burned everybody so bad last year, he will be available to you later. Probably later than he should be.
  • Russ , Northern VA

    4:13 PM ET

Number of the beast??? crazy talk gotta be Aces High or Seventh son!! Also whats your feeling on QB's with a second round choice?
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

Come on Russ, it is the band's signature song. Got to be No. 1.

But taking a QB with the second pick is risky, unless Peyton and Brady fall into the second round. Normally, I would wait a touch later and target Romo, Rivers or Schaub just a tick later. But a lot of it depends on how your draft unfolds.
  • Dave, SF

    4:14 PM ET

Hey Adam Please answer!!! I read your blog about Michael Crabtree and was wondering whether he is a viable No. 2 starter?
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

Well thank you for reading, Dave. Appreciate that. Love Crabtree this year. The only thing that keeps him from being a true No. 1 this year is that Singletary loves to run the ball. But he will get his catches, around 70. Love him at a No. 2. Doing the mock drafts here on NFL.com, I seem to always be able to land Crab as my No. 2 guy and I would be very happy with that.
  • The Sweater Vest Bandit, Massillon,Oh

    4:15 PM ET

The are players to stay away from.. at each position name 1 player to stay away from
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

I would stay away from Steven Jackson at RB. Vincent Jackson at WR. And I would not pick Peyton Manning in the first round. Look at what Super Bowl losers have done the following year. I expect a more mortal season from Manning this year. Not Jake Delhomme-bad mind you, but something a little bit off his numbers last year, and probably not good value in Round 1.
  • Jan, Leipzig, Germany

    4:17 PM ET

NEED help!!! Hi there im playing in a keeper league where I have to keep 3 players and where I can keep three more. I want to keep Tom Brady, Roddy White, Knowshon Moreno. I only want to keep these 3 because I want to go after some RBs, like Ryan Mathews or any other guy thats available, or should I also keep Vincent Jackson and go for a RB in the next Round?
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

You are spot on. Keep those guys and go after Mathews. Don’t keep Vincent Jackson. Who else could you keep if you didn't go for Moreno? His hamstring scares me, but he is a better option than V Jax. Unless you get numbers from the UFL which is where Jackson is heading if he doesn't sign a contract soon.
  • Adam, PLEASE ANSWER

    4:18 PM ET

Hey Adam!! I am being offered Fitz, Steven Jackson and Felix jones for S.Smith (NYG), MSW and Shonn Greene. I am not sure what to do because Fitz no longer has Warner and Jackson just had back surgery. Thanks
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

Wow, you are getting Fitz for Smith and MSW? That is pretty good. How comfortable are you with getting rid of Greene? Everybody loves him, but he has yet to do it in a full season. Again, I am no fan of Jackson.
  • Phil, please answer !!!

    4:19 PM ET

How do you think Steven Jackson is going to do this year after his surgery? and who do you think is better Jackson or Gore? Thanks
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

Let me put it to you this way Phil. Bono had back surgery, and he had to postpone U2’s American tour. Jackson had back surgery, and he thinks that he can play football this year? I don’t buy it. Carrying the Edge cannot be as tough as carrying the St. Louis football club. So I go Gore.
  • Raj, Charlotte

    4:20 PM ET

Allright, so Manning and Turner are my keeper and I have 5th pick in draft. Should I go for WR or RB; if RB do u think Matthews is a good pick so early?
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

What’s Happening, Raj? Turner and Manning? Great start to your team. You have the right idea going after Mathews. That would be a pretty good starting three.
  • Ed Pavlosky , Johnstown PA

    4:21 PM ET

Hello, I have heard analyst say this QB is a 1st tier QB or this RB is a 2nd tier RB or this WR is a 3rd tier WR. In trying to rank your players for a draft how do you know or at least have some idea what tier a player falls in for their respected position ie. QB, RB, etc. Also when drafting lets say its the first round and by the time I pick all 1st tier QB, RB, or WR are gone should I look to select a 1st tier player in another position or just stick to the plan I may have for the draft. I hope that you will consider my questions appropriate enough to answer, especially about the tiers for the different postions that are drafted in fantasy football. Thank you for your time and attention in this matter.
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

Here is what they are talking about with tiers, ED.

AD, CJ2K, MJD, Turner, Rice, and Gore are first-tear RBs because they are on good teams and they are featured backs. Brees, Brady and Manning are considered first-tier QBs because of their production over the years. Philip Rivers, Tony Romo, are second tier QBS. Jake Delhomme is a ninth-tiered back. Johnson, Fitz, Moss, Austin and Wayne are first-tier WRs. And so on. You will get a first-tier player in the draft. The best bet is to go running back (which I still advocate). But a lot of your strategy has to be fluid, like the Vikings QB contingency plan.

I did a mock draft here on NFL.com (as you should, too) yesterday where Brees and Manning went in the first three picks. That throws your whole draft upside down when you can get MJD with the ninth pick. You have to be ready to anticipate stuff like that. Have your list of the Top 200 ready to go, and be mindful of the players coming off the board.

But again, the best thing to do is to practice on the NFL.com mock draft here. Don’t tell my bosses, but I do it all of the time. Doing mock drafts is the best way to hone your draft strategy and practice for the real thing.
  • Brent, BC, Canada

    4:22 PM ET

Would you go gore over a healthy jackson?
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

Still yes, Brent. Gore is going to be a monster.
  • Brett, Baltimore

    4:23 PM ET

Adam, help me man! Steven Jackson, Rashard Mendenhall, and Cedric Benson am I set at RB? AND who should I start out of Steve Smith (CAR) Sims Walker, Braylon Edwards, and Steve Breaston? Should I stand pat or trade for a better WR out of my RB depth? Also, I have to put my vote in for "The Trooper" as best Iron Maiden Song. Your thoughts??
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

Hey Brett. I would try to trade Steven Jackson to a guy in your league who is not reading this chat. Like Mendenhall and Benson. Target a true No. 1 WR.

Of your WRs, I'd go Smith, MSW and Breaston (in that order).

The Trooper is money. A for-sure Top 5.
  • sean, san diego

    4:25 PM ET

Have the 5th pick in a 12man draft. Turner or Brees?? 6pts for TDs!!
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

Cannot let go of the former Chargers, can you Sean? I don’t blame you. Go Turner. You can get a good QB in the third or fourth round. You will not get a RB of that caliber in third round.
  • Henry, England

    4:26 PM ET

Matt Moore or Tarvaris Jackson if Favre doesn't come back?
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

Love Matt Moore this year, Hank. Honestly, I think that sometimes I was the only person who watched Moore tear up the league at the end of last season. They praise Kevin Kolb for his work in two blowouts, but Moore was incredible last year and he is at the bottom of most people's list.

Solid running game holds Moore back a little bit, but he did fine with it last year.
  • Henry, Tulsa,OK

    4:27 PM ET

I am in a nfl fantasy league, and I am thinking of drafting David Buehler in the 8th Round. What do you think.
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

Henry, listen to me. Do not pick a kicker until the very last round. Or if you have to at all. Buehler is going to be available to you at the end of the draft. I figure since you are from Oklahoma you are a Cowboys fan. But just be patient and take him at the end. Fill in some depth in the eighth round.
  • Jamie, New Zealand

    4:28 PM ET

If Gonzo reclaims his job as the #2 in Indy, where does he jump to in your WR rankings from a fantasy perspective?
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

Honestly, I do not see Gonzo doing that Jamie. Garcon and Collie were the goods last year. No need for the Colts to change it.
  • Matt, Columbia MD

    4:29 PM ET

Which rookie RB do you see having the biggest fantasy impact this year?
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

This could be a great year for rookie running backs, Matt. Ryan Mathews, Jahvid Best and C.J. Spiller could all have monster years – in that order. I would be more bullish on Spiller if he would sign his contract. But call Mathews Howard Hessman because he is Head of the Class.
  • Clive , Wichita

    4:30 PM ET

Hi Adam. I am in a PPR keeper league . I am keeping Petterson. Who would you pick between Michale Turner Miles Austin Randy Moss Reggie Wayne or Ron Grant. thanks
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

Take your pick between Moss, Wayne or Austin. I prefer Austin, but you cannot go wrong with any of the three receivers.
  • Gavin, Buffalo

    4:31 PM ET

sf or NO defense should start week 1
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

Really, Gavin? Are we going to talk defense right now? So much can change. But the 49ers have the better matchup.
  • Mike Infinity, Long Island

    4:32 PM ET

With Favre's expected retirement, does that boost AP's value greatly
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

Do you think defenses are going to game plan for Adrian Peterson or Tarvaris Jackson, Mike? Peterson scored a career high in touchdowns with Favre. Now what? Obviously AD gets more attempts, but the Vikings defense figures to be worse.

But let's let this Favre deal play itself out before we get too worked up over it.
  • Mark, California

    4:33 PM ET

who do i start at running back out of these 4. ryan grant, frank gore, ben tate, & knowshon moreno.
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

Gore and Grant, Mark. Which incidentally, Gore and Grant was the working title of that Angie Harmon detective show on TNT before they settled on Rizzoli & Isles.

Seriously, I think I have mentioned Gore today more than Paul Heyman ever did during ECW's heyday.
  • johnny, chicago, il

    4:34 PM ET

what do you think about drafting 2 top tier qb's in the first 2 rounds?
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

I think you might be new to fantasy football, Johnny. Running backs. You want to go running backs. Grab your quarterback in the third or fourth round. Or even later.
  • Lee, Florida

    4:35 PM ET

I'm in a keeper league where we get to keep 2 players from the previous season. In your opinion what 2 players would you keep out of these 3: Maurice Jones Drew, Pierre Thomas & Jay Cutler
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

MJD and Thomas, Lee. You can probably grab Cutler later on. Or maybe even get a more reliable QB.
  • grant, kentucky

    4:35 PM ET

should i trade ocho now that t.o. is in cincy
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

Be excited, Grant. I think the Bengals just committed to throwing the ball more.
  • Simon, Québec, Canada

    4:36 PM ET

I have Favre and Big Ben on my roster and now I need an assurance: Leftwich, Hasselbeck, Campbell or Moore for week 1 to week 4 include
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

You need a lot more than assurance, Simon. You drafted Big Ben and Favre, buying BP stock would be less risky. Matt Moore is going to be good. Gil Brandt told me (and NFL.com users) that Moore is going to be the guy. Campbell is on the rise, too. Hue Jackson might be able to coax some good numbers out of him.
  • Adrian Peterson, Minnesota

    4:37 PM ET

Shouldnt I be getting the rock a lot more now that Mr. Mississippi is staying home, and be the #1 overall draft choice for the second year in a row?
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

Is Toby Gerhart taking your goal-line carries, Adrian?
  • Harry, Austria

    4:37 PM ET

Simple question? When to pick Clark? I liked him so much last seasons!! Commercial break: "Try Austrian League!" ;-)) Thanks

Beautiful, Harry. Wait for the run on TEs in the middle rounds.
  • Chris, New England,BO

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

Hey Chris. A-Rod, Brady, Schaub. Though I am getting more bullish on Schaub by the day.
  • Kevin, Connecticut

    4:39 PM ET

This is my first fantasy football season, I have some decent WRs but I don't know who to start. How do I decide who to start and bench? Are there any strategys?
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

Play guys who are good, bench the guys who are not, Kevin. It’s just that easy.

Don’t over analyze it. You are going to have must-start guys that you have to play every week -- Andre Johnson, Miles Austin, Larry Fitzgerald, etc. And others you are going to want to go with matchups and other factors. NFL.com updates its rankings every week, and this year we even have EA projections, too. So the key is to keep checking every week.
  • Scott, Canada

    4:40 PM ET

One more Gore question!!! Rice or Gore?
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

I have to be honest, Scott. John Harbaugh scares the (expletive) out of me. One week it could be Ray Rice. The other it could be Willis McGahee or that other guy. So I know that Gore is going to be a solid No. 1 every week, Singletary loves to run. It has to be Gore.
  • NFLJennifer, Huntington Beach, CA

    4:41 PM ET

Since it seems as though luck or bad luck plays a big part in this game, how many sleepers or wildcard players should you draft? PS. What do you want for dinner tonight.
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

You want all sleepers and wild cards if you are playing in a league with me. Ignore those studs, go with Joe Webb! Oh, and I will not be home for dinner, instead I will be performing at a Days Inn in Irvine.

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

Probably not. The Jets have gone Hollywood like the Indians in Major League 2. Even Rex Ryan is on the Hollywood Diet Plan. Watch the Dolphins in the AFC East.
  • Garry, Sheffield UK

    4:43 PM ET

Hi Adam , I always enjoy hearing your thoughts on fantasy. I play in a league which rewards retrn yards at 1 point for every 10 yards. I have Jennings,Garcon , Wallace,D Thomas & M Turner (Jax)at WR . Who would you start out of this bunch bearing in mind the return yards . Turner was added post draft as I feel the Jaguars will be doing alot of returning. Cheers Garry.
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

Jennings and Wallace seem like two must-starts for me, Garry. You make a good point about Turner, the Jags special teams should see the field a lot.

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

Sorry Tommy, I am a busy man this afternoon.

I would keep Moss. Try to get Benson and Jackson back in the draft.

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

Good question, Ryan. Who is your No. 2 WR with Dre Johnson? I love Megatron this year. Not so high on Boldin. I would likely stand pat.

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

Everybody loves them, Michalek. Which scares me. Those 'pick to click' teams always seem to flame out. Just like the Falcons did last year. But Schaub, if healthy, should continue to put up huge numbers this season. Let's just take this one year at a time.

Sup Adam who do you think is better Tom Brady Matt Schaub AAron Rodgers or Jake Dellhomme and which one of there teams are better
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

I love that you threw Jake Delhomme in there, Jasper. A-Rod, Brady, and Schaub.
  • Jake, Nebraska

    4:54 PM ET

What do you think about Moreno's injury? I have a draft on Saturday and was thinking of taking him with either pick 20 or 21 (it's a VERY deep league).
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

Listen to me, Jake. This is why you do not draft until September. This injury could be minor, but now you will be wrought with anxiety over this thing.
  • Patrice, Banff,AB

    4:55 PM ET

Hey Adam do you think Rodgers will become a great QB Whats your opinion on the Browns this year
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

He is already a great player, Patrice. I think the Browns are going through the motions until Mike Holmgren takes over next year.
  • Roberto P., Fort Pierce, FL

    4:56 PM ET

Which RB would you choose on your first round, 5th pick, 12 teams? Gore, Turner, Mathews or Greene? Thanks!
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

I am high on Turner and Gore, Roberto. I would take Turner, but that's just me. I would listen to any argument for Gore. To me, it's like choosing between the No. 9 and the No. 6 at Del Taco. You are going to be happy no matter which one you chose.
  • Roberto P., Fort Pierce, FL

    4:57 PM ET

Which running back will do better, Ryan Mathews or Shonn Greene? Thanks!

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

Did you just ask the previous question? I like Mathews.

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

He is great in leagues that give points for return yardage, Grant.

    4:58 PM ET

How much will Wes Welker's knee hinder him? I heard he was returning to practice already and was wondering about his production.
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

Doesn't it seem crazy that he is even practicing, Mike? I am going to keep an eye on him during the preseason to see what he can do. I am still worried that it will take him some time to get back. But if you grab Welker, make sure you have JE, too.
  • Dan, Va

    5:00 PM ET

Adam obviously things change on draft day but going into it what round do you logically target your QB? 4th round? If so who should be there other than Schaub and McNabb?
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

Dan, you are right that things change. I typically wait for a QB. Last year I waited for Matt Schaub in one league, and nabbed Brett Favre really late in another. The previous year, I went for Kurt Warner in the final rounds.

This year I am thinking maybe jumping in a little early. Maybe going after a guy like Tony Romo in the fourth. He should be available for you. Do you not like Schaub?

  • Tom Brady, New England

    5:02 PM ET

Do you think Moss is still an #1 WR or is he too old?
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

You tell me, Tom. Are you going to get him the ball? Randy is playing for a contract. I expect him to light it up.
  • Karyn, New Jersey

    5:02 PM ET

Do the Jets have any fantasy WR1s or will they mostly run Shonn Greene?
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

Hard to really see one, Karyn. Braylon drops the ball way too much. Holmes will miss too much of the season. But I did grab Holmes as my No. 4 WR in our draft we did for the NFL.com magazine. I like that spot for him.
  • Hunter, Green Bay

    5:03 PM ET

what is the earlyest u consider a d-fense, kicker, and tight end
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

Go defense and kicker for your last two picks, Hunter. Depends on the tight ends and where they fall. Want to know a good tight end for this year? Chris Cooley. He comes back huge. Kyle Shanahan is the OC. McNabb loves the TEs. And the Redskins WRs are anonymous. Honestly, can you name one?
  • john , pa

    5:06 PM ET

    I like Henne, John.

Can you please answer my question, my middle name is Trevor. Better #2 rb Rbush, Forsett, Barber, Jacobs. I already have CJ2K #1, its a ppr keeper league.
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

Mike Trevor ... take Reggie Bush in a PPR league. I smell championship.
  • Ray Lewis, Baltimore, MD

    5:08 PM ET

You would leaning in the wrong direction then Adam... Bottom line man, the coaching staff on the Ravens is light years ahead of the Bengals man. We have 4 former head coaches and veteran leadership everywhere. The inmates run the asylum in Cincy. Ravens' leadership and experience carry them through.
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

That is the one thing that concerns me about the Bengals.

Grant and Benson. Like that combo, Mariano.
  • Chris, Beast Balla, PLEASE ANSWER BRO!

    5:11 PM ET

I still dont know about Turner.. wouldn't u pick him as a 2nd round because of His injuries and too many carries? I just feel like there is so much more talent in the first round than turner. Also, would Jackson be ok as a 4th wr? Because if ur not gonna play him for a while, then get him back early in the season, is there any risk? He could also be a viable 2 reciever right?
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

Turner still put up pretty good numbers, even with all of his injuries. I like that he dedicated himself this season. I imagine that Turner still get a ton of carries and does well.

V Jax would be alright as a fourth WR, but nothing else. A.J. Smith has shown himself to be pretty stubborn with holdout players. Remember the year he cost the Chargers the Week 1 game against the Cowboys because he suspended Gates?

hi adam. u asked me who my #2 wide receiver was and it is greg jennings now what do u think about the dre johnson for calvin johnson and boldin trade...please reply!!
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

Wow, you would be stacked, Ryan. Keep Dre Johnson. I think Calvin can have the numbers, but Dre is the undisputed No. 1 guy. Keep him.

Marvin was a superbowl winning defencive coach in baltimore and zimmer took the bengals d from 17 to 12 to 4 we need a better owner if anything
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

Carson Palmer needs to reign that team in, Brett. And incidentally, with T.O. in the mix, I love Palmer's fantasy outlook this year.

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    I would think so.
  • Cody, Linthicum

    5:16 PM ET

Joe Flacco and Fred Jackson for Rivers... Who won that trade? Personally, I could see a 4,000+ yard 30 TD season for Flacco if he stays healthy. That Baltimore offense is starting to look scary!
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

I hope, for your sake, you are right Cody. But I do love Rivers. Not sure if Flacco reaches 30 TDs.

10 team, std league. Keepers Chris and Andre Johnson. 3rd keeper... Benson or Miles Austin?
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

I like Austin a lot, LJ. He's my guy there.
  • Marlon Love, TenAkey

    5:17 PM ET

Do you really think that Mike Turner is a legit number one pick?
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

I really do Marlon. You could easily talk yourself out of any pick in the Top 10. Can CJ2k repeat? What does Favre's status do to AD? MJD slowed down last year. Ray Rice gives away TDs to McGahee. Gore, well, has Alex Smith. So honestly, you could talk yourself into or out of any pick in the first round.

I just love the Falcons this year. So I am going to stick with him.
  • Anton, Baltimore

    5:21 PM ET

Got Frank Gore, Maurice Jones-Drew and Michael Turner. Best RB you've seen so far?
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

That is pretty good, Anton. I have a keeper league with AD, Turner and Ray Rice. (And Matt Forte, but I have to let him go.) But we could go toe-to-toe.
  • Jessica, SanFran

  • Cedric Benson, Cincy

    5:23 PM ET

Am I going to be a bust this year? or do you see a repeat in my future?... Also me or beanie wells?
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

You will be o.k. this year, Cedric. But I believe you guys will throw more this year. So that might hurt. I still like you more than Beanie Wells who splits time with Tim Hightower.
  • Dan, Va

    5:24 PM ET

What's your projected stat line for Boldin? Is he a #1 fantasy WR?
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

I think Boldin gets hurt too much. He's a No. 2 WR to me, Dan.
  • Charlie Brown, Montreal

    5:24 PM ET

I have the 9 spot in a 12 team PPR and 6 points for a TD at every position. Who would you grab with your first pick: Rodgers, Brees, Moss, Wayne or Turner. Thanks
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

CB ... I'd bump the two WRs ahead of the QBs.
  • Chuck, Chicago

10 team league. What round should I target Pierre Garcon and Steve Breaston?
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

You can get them much later in drafts, Chuck. Make sure to do some mock drafts on the site.
  • Fredd, Texas

    5:26 PM ET

Hey man! should I pick up Crabtree or Malcom Floyd?
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

I like them both, Fredd. Not as No. 1 starters per say, but good guys to have. I talked to Rivers recently and he really like Floyd. He will be fine.
  • Justin, Muscatine, IA

    5:28 PM ET

Shonn Greene or Deangelo Williams in a ppr league?
    Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

Hey Justin, go with DeAngelo for sure.
  • Adam Rank, NFL.com

    Adam Rank, NFL.com

I really hate to do this, because I was loving this so much, but I have to run fellas. But I should be back in the preseason. I hope. And I will be chatting on Sundays this fall. So that should be fun.

Look for me doing some mock drafts. Here's the link. Otherwise, take it easy.
