Hello guys and gals. Hope all is well. Glad to be back here with you. Look forward to a fun hour, and thanks for stopping by. -

Do you think that the Bucs will win a game this season?
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
It's going to be a challenge, but I do think they'll manage to win a game, given the odds, how turnovers have a way of equalizing things out. I believe they will win, but asking for more than one win at this point may be a bit much for where this team is right now. -

Is it time to give up on Roy Williams or can he still be a good 2nd or 3rd WR?
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
I don't think you can look at him as more than a No. 3 at this point in terms of fantasy production. He doesnt have any chemistry with the QB, others are moving past him, and when this team gets all of its weapons back and healthy, I think Williams's role will continue to slip. -

Do you think the panthers can give the saints their first loss?
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
I do. This to me is a bigtime trap game. Saints have been riding high and getting a ton of turnovers and are do for a letdown and a game where they fall falt and can't come back. Panthers know them well and will try like heck to runt he ball the way Atlanta did last week (with ellis out that helps). If Jake can hold on to the ball and the Panthers grind it out in ball control game, I give them a definite shot. I picked them as my penny stock on NFL Total Access last night. -

Do you think Randy Moss will go to the pro bowl this season?
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
I wouldn't be suprised. I look for that offense to continue to expand and flourish in the second half of the season coming off the bye. -

Hey what's up Jason?! Please explain to me why most of the experts at the Network, yourself included, drop the Broncos down so far in the rankings after just one loss? Also, what is your analysis of the Steelers matchup on MNF?
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
Hello John. Thanks for the questions. As for the Broncos - please, don't take offense to power rankings. They are arbitrary and generate some debate but they don't matter a lick. It will be settled on field. I have Broncos 7th, and I'm not sure anyone would have had them int he top 25 percent of the NFl coming into the season. My concern is their ability to get miracle wins and play shutout second-half football all season, especially as injuries creep in. As for this upcoming game, the Steelers coming off a bye will be very tough. I think Denver is going to become one dimensional on offense, and the Broncs D is going to have to consistently win field position game to win this game. I am leaning towards a fresh Steelers team, especially after Broncos just playing a physical Baltimore team on road. -

are you impressed with brett favre this season
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
Absolutely, positively, completely. I has very low expectations for this move, and he has shoved it down my throat. My over-arching concenr was second-half production, as age and the physical pounding settle in, and having to go on road in November and December. If he manages to hold up as he has, then I'll look like an idiot on this one ... But that wouldn't be the first time. This is a wild league from week to week. -

4:16 PM ET
Hey Jason, on average, how many ?'s are asked during these chats?
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
Preciely 327, every week. Isn't that crazy? Nah, just kidding. I'd say usually somehwere around 300 or so is the norm, some weeks little less. -

Hey jason Chargers-Giants who wins and why?
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
To me Ahmad Bradshaw's health and Giants run game are the key. Phillip Rivers going against this secondary is a big missmatch, but Giants can negate that if they run the ball down San Diego's throat, which is also entirely possible, With Giants getting Boley and Canty back, and being desperate, I'm going to lean in their direction. I look for Eli to bounce back and to me the Chargers are a mediocre team overall, too one-dimensional, and this is a tough road game for them. Expect it to be close. -

Hi Jason, everyone's raving about Harvin and his gifted td last week; but surely Jairus Byrd deserves equal if not more credit. The defence has no pass rush and teams don't need to pass on the Bills, but he still has 7 ints!!
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
No doubt, to me the standout rookies in the AFC, off top of my head, are Oher, Byrd and Cushing. All are playing at an elite level. If the Bills still had a healthy secondary, they would be as laoded as anyone in the NFL back there. The future boads well ont he back end with all of these young standouts. When the Colts leaft Baltimore I became a Chargers fan, and Jairus's dad was one of my all-time favorites. Great bloodlines. -
Brett Favre, Minnesota
4:22 PM ET
Ha hater!! What do you say now after my performances, I already can play!!
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
Nothing to do with hate, Brett, just my take on reasons to not go over the top with expectations. And judging by all of your comments about possible injuries, built in caveats, etc, you weren't exeactly pounding your fist in September telling everyone you were gonna have an All-Pro season. And, again, it's barely November. Let's see it plays out. I remember the Jets being int he Super Bowl this time a year ago. Just sayin -

PLEASE ANSWER .....What is wrong with the Bills offense. The D has kept them in games (even though there run d is terrible). TO has dropped some but Fitz cant throw deep accurately and Edwards had no time to Gel. Sometimes im wondering what Losman would be able to do with TO and Evans.
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
Hope you are staying warm up there. It's a big picture issue. Changing coordinaotrs right before season, going with an ultra-young O line, not having Lynch for start of season, having to constantly blend new parts, going no huddle, then scrapping it ... All of that adds up to issues. It's not any one individual so much, to me, as a team that is struggling to find an identity. They were young and thin to begin with, then injuries start wiping people out and you're going to end up trying to feel your way through games. They may have to go in another direction long-term at QB and a regime change int he offseason would not be surprising either, so I hate to say it, but you might have to stay patient for a few more years as this process plays out. -

Will you please answer my question. Who will you take to win Bears or Cardinals?
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
I'm going to take the home team here. I'd expect Ron Turner to get a little mroe creative in the play calling, and it's going to be tough getting yards on the ground against the Cards, but I think the Bears can grind it out. They know they need to win these big NFC home games to make a playoff push. I look for Cutler to have a nice game. -

You say the Panthers can hand the Saints their first loss. my question - WILL THEY?
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
I'm going to pick them as my upset special this week. But if I knew for sure what was going to happen I wouldn't be doing this chat from my office/attic and going on TV tonight from my laundry room/studio. -

Jason, Are the Texans for real??? They seem like it!
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
Much like Brett Favre and Shawne Merriman (I see he just sent a question in and will answer it next), I admit that I have been skeptical about the Texans. They have shown flahses of turning the corner for sure - the Titans comeback, putting some wins together - but the AFC is very tough, and even 10-6 might not be enough to get you in the dance. They haven't exactly played the toughest schedule and the next 5 games tell the tale - all 4 divisional games including two with Indy. They come out of that with a split and they have a chance to make me a believer in December. Closing with Miami and New England won't be easy though andf losing Daniels is a big blow. -

I am a lonely Detroit Lions fan out here in California...do you have any good news for me as we travel to seatle to play the seahawks?
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
There are better days ahead, I promise you. They have a great selection of young skill players on offense and the potential to be very dynamic. need to continue drafting in the trenches now and get Schwartz to keep honing the defense. They are going to be an exciting team in a few years. again, I know that stinks to hear now after so many lean years, but they are building a nucleus. Shoot, forgot to take Merriman's questions next. -

4:41 PM ET
Jason, how many twinkies a day do you eat? I am guessing 5
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
Buster, typically somewhere between 35-40, depending if I opt for twinkies or tasycakes for breakfast. Hope you had the over, big guy -
Shawne Merriman, San Diego
4:43 PM ET
how you like the sacks this weekend? think im finally back?
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
Definitely a strong showing. Long term, I think your health, off field issues and lowered production is going to limit your ability to land that next huge contract (to say nothing of the CBA issues), but it was a good performance for sure. I hope you are in good health and can keep it up every week. As a Baltimore guy, always want to see Terps do well, and hope you make it all the way back. -
Buster, Miami
4:45 PM ET
No man can eat 40 twinkies. When is Leigh Torrance going to get the credit he deserves?
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
Send Eissen an email and tell him to get LA to roll on the camera in my basement and I'll prove it. Rich has that kind of pull. Leigh Torrence is a strong special teams player. Redskins could use him as a gunner these days. -

Where do you see Bill Cowher as a coach next season?
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
This is something I plan to cover Sunday morning on GameDay Morning. There are 4 scenarios that would appeal to him most and I'm hearing the coaching bug is definitely backl with him, but it would have to be the right fit. Tune in Sunday. -

4:47 PM ET
Awesome chat as usual Jason, In your opinion, where will T.O. end up next year? Do I have any hope in beleiving he becomes a Bear?
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
Thanks so much. Cool of you to say. Just trying to have some fun along the way. TO had a small group of suitors to begin with, and I'd be stunned if Chicago made a move. If he greatly lowers his asking price coming off this lost season, there are several teams who could take a look. Tampa, Tenn need WRs off top of my head. But a lot will depend on coaching and management changes and who is making decisions for each team, because there are a lot of guys around the league who simply wouldn't want him in their building. I will say this, I've been hard on him but he's handled himself expertly this season in the face of a miserable campaign. I applaud him for that and hope he keeps it up the rest of the season. -

Dallas is going to be playing GB in a couple weeks. Demarcus Ware accidently snaps Rodgers arm like a burnt strand of babies hair...how many tears are shed as a result of the 44-10 loss? Do we help them wipe those tears away with searing hot chains?
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
Dude, are you speaking in tongues or something? Quoting from the lyric sheet of some unheard of death metal band? What does that even mean? I need a translation - wiping tears with searing hot chains??? Didn't Steve O try that once on MTV? -

4:53 PM ET
Jason, Seriously ..What are the Jets capable of becoming ? Are the playoffs kinda far fetched ?
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
I think the playoffs are a stretch. They are very limited offensively and the injuries to the defense are big. It's going to be a process. That was a 7-9 win team to me coming in, and the fast start got things a little out of whack, but 4-4 at the midpoint is not a surprise to me. -
Austin , California
4:54 PM ET
Jason, Phillip Rivers or Eli Manning who would you pick?
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
I would go with Eli because he has a more stable in-game mentality, but you can't go wrong with either. I've been trying to put together a top-10 QB list, and keep changing my mind. Might do it as part of my Friday column on NFL.com, if I could ever make up my ming. -

4:56 PM ET
Definitely need to see the twinkie consumption. What's Eissen's e-mail addy?
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
Hit him up on Twitter or on his next chat. He is the only man that can make this happen. -

Jason, What are you hearing? Are the Browns going to fire their coach? I hope so. Let know your thoughts I am Browns fan hurting.
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
I would not be suprised in the least to see a change at the end of the season. -
Nick, Vermont
4:57 PM ET
Jason, it seems like everyone on here, yourself and Gil Brandy ignore the Redskins questions when it is a hot topic for the fans. What are your predictions for what happens in D.C. in 2010?
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
I think you may be mistaken on this one. I know I've answered a ton of Skins questiosn this season. My precition is another overhaul this offseason. new coach. new qb. and, finally, I imagine a new head of personnel. -
Marc Bulger, St Louis
4:59 PM ET
Am I done as a Ram after this year?
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
Theyre gonna have to draft a QB and build for the future. Maybe you stick around as a mentor/caretaker for a season, but they've already apssed on some very godo younbg QB the past few years and are going to have to make that investment in one soon. -
Adam Dunn, Modesto,CA
5:00 PM ET
Hey Jason, have you heard anything if Davis will fire Cable? And is Cable to blame for a another bad year for the Raiders?
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
If the Raiders investigation into allegations made against Cable provides what they believe to be cause for termination, that's a route they very well could take at some point. Regardless, lot of people in the league expect Raiders to be in the market for a coach in the offseason, again. -
Criegan, Queensland, Australia
5:03 PM ET
Jason! Big Fan - The Eagles V Dallas Game. What's your prediction to win, how and why? Thanks alot!
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
Thanks brother. Hello to the land Down Under. I like the Eagles to win this game. I think DeSean Jackson will be tough to contain, I look for the Dallas secondary to have problems. Ware and that pass rush could sway things the other way, with Philly OL shaky, but I think McNabb and Westbrook find a way to win. I like the Eagles' renewed assault of the QB in recent weeks and some of the speed options off the edge can cause problems for Dallas' more plodding OL. -
austin, california
5:05 PM ET
how do u feel about my 49ers?
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
I have been pushing them as a playoff worthy team since the preseason, but the injuries to the tackles will be very tough to overcome. They are think at tackle now, have a new QB who I expect to make his share of mistakes. They aren't out of it by any stretch, but I have a high level of concern at this point. -
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
Sorry guys, my time here it up. Thanks as always for all the great questions and I wish I could get to them all, but it's impossible. Nothing personal. Next week I will be on my way to San Francisco for the NFL Network's first Thursday night game, so hopefully we can chat a different date and time next week. Enjoy the games this weekend. Cheers.
