What's up, NFL Nation!? What an exciting slate of games today. I can't wait to discuss the outcomes with you.. Let's get started..
  • Cassie, Fort Collins, CO

    10:34 PM ET

What do you think about the Broncos now since they lost to the Redskins? With the tough schedule ahead, what do the Broncos need to do to win the division?
    Bucky Brooks, NFL.com

    Bucky Brooks, NFL.com

Cassie, The loss to the Redskins was significant for the Broncos because it erased their lead in the AFC West. Additionally, they are hitting a tough stretch of games without a cushion to protect them from a two- or three-game skid. With the Chargers playing well, the Broncos have to turnaround their fortunes quickly or run the risk of missing the playoffs after getting off to such a good start.

    10:37 PM ET

hey man, please answer, im a huge fan! Do you think green Bay's big win over Dallas signals a turnaround for the team? do they have renewed playoff hopes?
    Bucky Brooks, NFL.com

    Bucky Brooks, NFL.com

Noah, This was a big win for the Packers. They were on the verge of being pushed out of the NFC playoff race, but this win puts them right in the thick of things. Additionally, it should give their defense a jolt of confidence heading into the stretch. They basically shut down an offense that had been rolling entering the weekend, and the found a way to get consistent pressure on the QB. Also, the Packers' offense protected Aaron Rodgers and found a way to move the ball in a balanced fashion. If they can continue to play well on both sides of the ball, it would not be a surprise to see the Packers go on a surprising run to close the season.
  • Nathaniel, Wisconsin

    10:41 PM ET

Why did Tony Romo do so poorly against Green Bay's D? I think its Roy Williams' fault, he is a HUGE bust!
    Bucky Brooks, NFL.com

    Bucky Brooks, NFL.com

Nathaniel, The Packers' D played really well today, and their ability to get pressure on Romo clearly affected his game. He had a few errant tosses and he never appeared to be comfortable in the pocket. Additionally, the Cowboys didn't run the ball enough to protect him from facing a fierce pass rush from the Packers. Without the threat of the run to slow down the blitz, Romo had to face a host of five-man pressures on long yardage situations. Although Roy Williams' inconsistent production is an issue, I think the Cowboys' game plan played a bigger factor in the team's struggles against the Packers.
  • Derrick , Pasadena, California

    10:44 PM ET

Since obtaining Michael Vick, they only play him ONCE a game--why?? What happened to the Wildcat Offense they were suppose to implement?
    Bucky Brooks, NFL.com

    Bucky Brooks, NFL.com

Derrick, That's an interesting question. Michael Vick was expected to add an explosive dimension to the Eagles' attack, but he has been a non-factor in recent weeks. Although the implementation of the "Wildcat" takes some time and creativity, it appeared to be a nice fit for Vick in their offensive package. However, the team hasn't used it much and the over hyped Vick signing looks like a wasted move at this point.
  • Ricky, San Diego

    10:47 PM ET

What do you think about LT's performance today? Do you think he's still an elite back?
    Bucky Brooks, NFL.com

    Bucky Brooks, NFL.com

Ricky, LT had a great game today and was on the verge of topping the 100-yard mark for the first time in over a year. Although his performance today showed that he still has a little gas left in the tank, I think that it is clear that his skills have declined from his better years, and he only ranks as a solid football player at this point. He can flash moments of brilliance from time to time, but I think the days of LT dominating the game are long gone.
  • Rob, Canada

    10:51 PM ET

Why is Dick Jauron letting T.O. act out on the field like he did today?? shouldn't the coach be keeping his players in line??
    Bucky Brooks, NFL.com

    Bucky Brooks, NFL.com

Rob, The heated discussion that TO had on the sideline today occurs on most sidelines on a weekly basis. The competitive nature of the game causes emotions to run high, and sometimes those sideline discussions get a little heated. Without being privy to the conversation, I will assume that it was simply a player expressing his feelings regarding a play to a coach. This feedback is not only necessary, but encouraged due to the unique perspective players enjoy compared to coaches. I wouldn't put too much into the delivery of the message, but rather on the information that TO conveyed to the coach. Interestingly, he caught a big play on the next series. That may have been a result of the outburst that was caught on tape.
  • Lee Caddell, North Carolina

    10:55 PM ET

Do the Carolina Panthers have a legitimate shot at an NFC wild card berth after going 4-2 in their last 6 games?
    Bucky Brooks, NFL.com

    Bucky Brooks, NFL.com

Lee, It appears that the Panthers have discovered their identity over the past six weeks. They are running the ball well, and the improved running game is making life easier for Jake Delhomme. Additonally, the Panthers' D is beginning to make noise by getting pressure on the QB and forcing turnovers. If they continue to get good production from both units, it is very likely that the team will push for a post-season berth this year.
  • Brian, Pennsylvania

    10:58 PM ET

Are the Saints the real deal? Considering they haven't played so well the past few weeks ?
    Bucky Brooks, NFL.com

    Bucky Brooks, NFL.com

Brian, Great teams are able to win games when everything is going in their favor and the Saints have been able to do that the past few weeks. They are getting enough points from their offense to complement a defense that has come up with big turnovers. While they eventually need to find their rhythm again, the fact that they are still winning games leads me to believe that they will be one of the last teams standing at the end of the year.
  • John, Phoenix

    11:00 PM ET

Do you think the Cardinals will make it to the playoffs after this week's big win over the seahawks?
    Bucky Brooks, NFL.com

    Bucky Brooks, NFL.com

John, The Cardinals look like the clear cut favorite to win the NFC West. They are explosive on offense due to their passing game, but the emergence of "Beanie" Wells is giving them balance in their approach. In addition, their defense is beginning to come together and play like the unit that got hot in the post-season last year. If they keep playing at a high level, I can envision them making another serious run during the post-season.
  • Nate Muhlbach, Nebraska

    11:04 PM ET

Do you think that the chargers will win the AFC West. I do but thats just me being a chargers fan.
    Bucky Brooks, NFL.com

    Bucky Brooks, NFL.com

Nate, It looks like the Chargers are finally putting it together. During their 4-game winning streak they have played well on both sides of the ball, and shown off the talent that had everyone expecting a big season from them. If they are able to knock off the Broncos next week, they should have an easy run to another division title. If I had to place a bet, I would expect the Chargers to finish the season as the AFC West champ.

with ronnie brown hurt what do the fish do now with the wildcat oh by the way you wanna play for the cuse?
    Bucky Brooks, NFL.com

    Bucky Brooks, NFL.com

Joe, I'll pass on the 'Cuse because I think that it's hard to beat being a Tarheel :) As for Ronnie Brown, I don't think that his absence will affect the way that Dolphins use the Wildcat. They will execute the offense with Ricky Williams as the trigger man and sub accordingly at the other positions. However, I wouldn't be surprised to see the team use Pat White and some of their Pistol plays to fill in the void. It has worked on occasion and could be a nice replacement while Brown nurses his injury.

    11:10 PM ET

why do you think the titans have improved?
    Bucky Brooks, NFL.com

    Bucky Brooks, NFL.com

Jaime, The Titans have gone back to basics and it has definitely improved their play. Earlier in the season, they were passing too much and the one-dimensional game plan kept Chris Johnson out of the mix. However, since inserting VY into the line up, the team has gotten back to running the ball at will and the results have been outstanding. With the team experiencing success under this approach, I would expect them to continue to pound the ball relentlessly at opponents.
  • Denny Gaines, Las Vegas,NV

    11:12 PM ET

I watch the Titans today,Is Chris Johnson the best RunningBack in the NFL?
    Bucky Brooks, NFL.com

    Bucky Brooks, NFL.com

Denny, Adrian Peterson is still the best back in the game, but Chris Johnson is rapidly closing the gap. He is one of the most explosive players that I've ever seen and his ability to get to top speed in a few steps is unbelievable. If I had to rank them, I would put AP, Chris Johnson and Steven Jackson as my top three.
  • Maxime Trottier, Montreal, Quebec

    11:14 PM ET

Hi Bucky, i just wanted to know your opinion on tonight's game between Indianapolis and New England. Which QB is gonna have the best night and what are the key points to look at during the game?
    Bucky Brooks, NFL.com

    Bucky Brooks, NFL.com

Maxime, This is a tough one to predict, but I will give Indy the edge because they are playing at home. The keys to the game: 1. NE must run the ball well to win.. (they want to keep the score down and limit the possessions Peyton Manning has with the ball) 2. Both teams have to prevent the big play... (NE and Indy have dynamic playmakers and neither team can allow the other to score on easy drives) 3. Win the TO battle.. (in close games turnovers typically determine the winner, so ball security will be of utmost importance)

What do you think of jags performance agains the Jets? and what about the unselfish play by MJd at the 1 yard line? thanks
    Bucky Brooks, NFL.com

    Bucky Brooks, NFL.com

Dean, It was a heady play by MJD. Some would argue that he should score and put the onus on the defense to stop the Jets, but I think that you have to believe that your kicker can knock down a FG from extra point range. The Jags won the game, so the strategy looks brilliant on his part.
  • Raymond, Chicago

    11:20 PM ET

Will the Bears fire Lovie Smith this season?
    Bucky Brooks, NFL.com

    Bucky Brooks, NFL.com

Raymond, I would expect the Bears to retain Lovie Smith at season's end. He has a few years left on his deal, and I doubt that anyone wants to pay a coach big bucks for doing nothing in this economy. I could see the team reshuffling their staff, but I would expect Lovie Smith to remain the head coach at the end of the day.
  • John, Jacksonville

    11:22 PM ET

Why isn't Maurice Jones-Drew in your top 3? He's like the whole offense for the jags this year. If it wasn't for him, the jags would be in the bottom 10 of the league
    Bucky Brooks, NFL.com

    Bucky Brooks, NFL.com

John, I love MJD as a player and think that he is an unbelievable talent. However, I simply think the other three (AP, Chris Johnson and Steven Jackson) rank just a notch above him. No disrespect to him, but I think that most GMs would take those guys ahead of MJD.
  • Caleb Davis, North Carolina

    11:24 PM ET

Hey Bucky. With Tennessee playing the way they are, do you think they could grasp a wild card spot?
    Bucky Brooks, NFL.com

    Bucky Brooks, NFL.com

Caleb, The Titans are playing well, but overcoming that 0-6 start is such a daunting task. I think that they can get to 9-7 if everything breaks their way, but I don't know if that will get them into the playoffs.

NFL Nation, My time is up... I enjoyed chatting today and look forward to fielding your questions on my Thursday chat. Also, stop by tomorrow to check out our "Sunday Drive of the Week".. We are going to take a look at the Jacksonville Jaguars' game-winning drive against the Jets, and examine MJD's decision to take a knee at the one-yard line. Have a great night!
