What's up everyone? Glad to be with you and take your questions. I'm ready. -

LaMarr you are just such an awesome player! Joey Porter used to be my favorite player when he played for the steelers, than we drafted you, and just as a rookie you stole my heart. I just wanted to know what is your favorite thing about playing in Pittsburgh...the greatest city in the world LOL
LaMarr Woodley, Pittsburgh Steelers
I think my favorite thing is just the tradition and history of the team. Being part of a legacy is something you want to be a part of in your NFL career, and there's no better place. The guys they have on this team, there's no better guys -- they welcomed me with open arms from the day I got drafted. The traditions get passed on, and that's why this franchis is successful year after year. -

LaMarr, After a tough loss to the Bengals this past week, what are you doing as a team to get over that and prepare for next week?
LaMarr Woodley, Pittsburgh Steelers
Hi Matt. You know, one thing you do is come in, look at the film, and talk about the good and the bad. You make corrections, because the next team you're playing against will try to use what Cincy did, and try to find out what Cincy did. You have to move forward. My thing is you can't focus on last week, last week is gone. You have to focus on what's next. It's going to take more game to get to the Super Bowl. -

LaMaar, Even though we lost twice to the bengals...do you still believe the steelers can win out the AFC North? What is Coach Tomlin saying?
LaMarr Woodley, Pittsburgh Steelers
I mean, whether we win the AFC North or we don't, our thing is getting in the playoffs. Once you're in, you can throw the records out the door. Playoffs is playoffs. We need to win the games that we have, and get in.
Coach Tomlin is on us to stay focused. We lost to the Bengals, but we're looking at what's ahead. Can't worry about the Bengals. We both have a lot of games to play. -
Tom, Oklahoma City

Hey LaMarr love watching you every Sunday. Who were your favorite players growing up?
LaMarr Woodley, Pittsburgh Steelers
Hey Tom. Oh man! I had a few ... i liked watching Emmitt Smith, Lawrence Taylor, Ray Lewis, Hines Ward (oh yeah, he's like 10 years older than me!). I used to love those guys. I liked watching Hines because he's a trash talker. -

LaMarr, I'm a lifelong (rabid) Steelers fan. I've been to training camp the last three years, and before last season, Kevin Greene was there, reportedly working with you. What did you take away from your time working with him?
LaMarr Woodley, Pittsburgh Steelers
Kevin Greene was there last year, and one thing we talked about was getting to the QB by bull rushing. It was something we worked on. His attitude toward the game is great, he was ready to get on the field right there. You have to listen to guys like that, guys who had been in the league for a long time. -
Dan, Columbus, Ohio
2:41 PM ET
LaMarr, as a former Wolverine, what's your prediction for OSU vs. Michigan?
LaMarr Woodley, Pittsburgh Steelers
Dan, this game doesn't have the hype it usually does. We're a bit down right now, and OSU is playing really good ball. Can't take that away from them. We've lost a lot this season, but a win would give us something to be up about. They have to go in believing they're good enough to beat OSU, and I think they are. -
Jim Shimkus, Rochester NY
2:43 PM ET
LaMarr, how do you feel this years defense compares to last years? What do you think is the thing this years defense needs to work on most for the rest of the season?
LaMarr Woodley, Pittsburgh Steelers
That's what you can't do -- you can't compare to last year. We have different guys in different positions ... we have some different guys in the mix, and a few guys injured. It will always be different year to year, they're two different teams.
You're always looking to improve. I think this year I've been doing a good job of putting pressure on teh QB and stoppign the run, but my thing is getting more sacks. People who don't understand football might only look at the sacks numbers, which are down from last year. But for me, if we're winning, I don't care about stats. When you look at our sack totals, it's being spread around to different players other than myself and Timmons. When everyone is getting in there, then we're working together as a team and getting some of the action. Can't be greedy! -
Amir, New York City
2:46 PM ET
What makes the Coach LeBeau such a great defensive coordinator?
LaMarr Woodley, Pittsburgh Steelers
He just puts the right guys in the right positions to make plays. He makes the right play calls at the right times. He's aggressive and likes to attack, instead of being attacked. You like to be the ones doing the attacking. -
Paul, Ottawa, Ontario
2:48 PM ET
Hi LaMarr, Ben Roethlisberger is arguably the toughest QB to tackle in the league, which QB is the toughest to sack among those you have faced?
LaMarr Woodley, Pittsburgh Steelers
That's a tough question Paul. How about none of them! They're all easy to take down!! -
Rebecca, Austin, TX
2:48 PM ET
Can you tell us about your Sack Attack charity?
LaMarr Woodley, Pittsburgh Steelers
Hi Rebecca. It's pretty much that I donate $500 for every sack I get during the season. It goes to the kids at the Boys & Girls Club in Pittsburgh, and then The All-Stars and Heroes for Kids in Saginaw, Michigan.
It's a little low right now, I might have to start bringing it for the kids! The kids are important, they're our future. If we don't help them out, how do we expect to run our country? -
Kevin, Ft. Sam Houston, TX

Does the team have a different mindset when Troy is on the field? Everyone seems to play so much better when he's available.
LaMarr Woodley, Pittsburgh Steelers
I think everyone is playing at a high level. But Troy is a veteran guy, a guy who has been around. He plays at a high speed, and is making the big-time plays and turnovers. He looks fast out there because of the situations we need him in to make those plays. -
Dave Franczak, Waynesburg, PA
2:53 PM ET
Hey LaMarr! You are one of my favorite players to watch especially when you and Harrison blitz together. But I have to ask, what happened this past weekend? I was at the game and go to every home game. It just seemed like there was no energy?
LaMarr Woodley, Pittsburgh Steelers
The Bengals really took advantage of opportunities. They put points on the board on special teams, and were able to move the ball to get field goals. That's pretty much how it happened. -
Sebastian, Germany
2:55 PM ET
Hi LaMarr, what was your favourite moment in the nfl so far? greetings from Germany
LaMarr Woodley, Pittsburgh Steelers
Oh man. My favorite was probably the one in the Super Bowl when I caused the forced fumble and helped seal the deal for No. 6 to come to Pittsburgh. -
Alejandro Boyadjian, Montevideo, Uruguay
2:58 PM ET
LaMarr, Coach Tomlin looks to us fans like a really wise man, his age isn´t getting brought up anymore.... how would you rate him compared to other coaches you´ve had, both profesionally and personally?
LaMarr Woodley, Pittsburgh Steelers
Coach Tomlin reminds me of my high school coach, someone who is honest and realistic with you. He's cool, but when it's time to take care of business, it's time. He always listens to players, and treats them well -- that earns respect, and players want to play for him because of the way he treats you. -
Todd Cicon, Pittsburgh
2:59 PM ET
Im going to the game in Kansas City next week....can you do me one huge favor? AND just beat the snot outta the cheifs!
LaMarr Woodley, Pittsburgh Steelers
Haha Todd. That's your goal when you play football - You Play To Win The Game! -
Dano, City of Champions
3:01 PM ET
Whats your favorite place to eat in the burgh?
LaMarr Woodley, Pittsburgh Steelers
Oh man Dano. I have a few places. My favorite spot is Applebeas... I don't like to be waiting around for too long for my food. My other place is Capitol Grill. But Applebeas is my first! -
Jamey, cumberland, Maryland
3:02 PM ET
What are the keys for bringing that 7th super bowl championship to the burgh? Big time LaMarr Woodley fan!! Good luck the rest of the year
LaMarr Woodley, Pittsburgh Steelers
The real keys right now are finishing. You have to finish. Even though we lost to the Bengals, are thing is to get into the playoffs. You have to get in, and win all out. The Cardinals just did it last year. Their record didn't tell the story, but at the end of the day they were there. They finished. -
Matt , Lisbon, NY
3:03 PM ET
LaMarr coming off winning the Super Bowl everyone of course wants to knock you down. Now you are kind of flying under the radar do you think the helps or hurts you?
LaMarr Woodley, Pittsburgh Steelers
Every year everyone wants to knock the Steelers down, and especially when you've won the Super Bowl. The way we play, the way the defense is, it's always going to be a sold out crowd. That's every year. Teams want to beat us, and they know where we stand.
That's every year, no matter what. I'm not sure we're ever under the radar. When we lost those games early, and then Sunday, people feel like we're not where we need to be. But we're 6-3 with some games left to go -- I think we're in a good position. -

What was your favorite team in the NFL growing up? Who is the toughest linemen youve ever lined up against.
LaMarr Woodley, Pittsburgh Steelers
I had two -- first off I was a Cowboys fan. My mom used to buy me all sorts of Cowboys gear. But then when I got older, I became a Steelers fan. I've been running with them since then -- I've won a lot of games with them on PlayStation!
Willie Colon ... I practice against him every day. He's tough. -
LaMarr Woodley, Pittsburgh Steelers
