Sorry for the delay folks, let's get started.

Will you please coach the Bills?

I appreciate that. It is always a difficult thing in the coaching profession when someone is let go in this manner. To simply say that it's an unfortunate side of the business is dehumanizing and takes the human equation out of the process. Dick Jauron is a first class individual, has long been one of the NFL's best representatives. The Bills currently have an interim head coach, and for any coach to comment on their interest in a job that currently has a coach is inappropriate.

Brian, congratulations on your new book. I really enjoyed it! I am a Colts fan and enjoy the close games especially when they win. I am concerned though that in the playoffs a fumble, a sack, or an interception might not allow them to pull off a win. What are your thoughts about the colts winning by a tight margin and playing catch up vs HOU and NE recently?

I think every team, regardless of their makeup or philosphy has to prepare for the emotional drain of a close win. The margin for error in the NFL is razor thin. that's why you push your players so hard to appreciate any single play off. It's that razor thin margin that makes this game so exciting.

hi brian, i'm a die hard patriots fan, what do you think was the right choice to make on the colts game in week 10 do you think bill made the right call or should he have kicked the ball away??thank you patriots fan forever

In the NFL, the only lense that you work through in judging that a play was the right call or not was whether it worked or not. Obviously it didn't work so through that lense it was the wrong call. Stepping back and looking at the larger picture, I think Bill Belichikck was very specific and certain in what he wanted to do. No team in the NFL over the last 5 years has attempted more fourth-and-shorts and converted them about 85 percent of the time. having just seen his defense gashed for two 70-plus drives, I can certainly understand why Belichick chose to take the chance with his 85 percent efficient offense rather than punt the ball and watch Peyton Manning add one mroe notch to his long list of come from behind wins.

Hey coach, i'm a big fan of your. But what do you think about the state of the Jets right now, and if they can hope to rebound.
    Brian Billick, NFL Network

    Brian Billick, NFL Network

Like every team in the league, the Jets are certainly capable of rebounding. What you're seeing now is clearly the effect of a new coach trying to establish a style of play, in conjunction with startng a rookie QB. The competition for the 4th and 5th spots in the AFC is going to be fascinating to watch between teams like the Ravens, Jets, jaguars, Broncos, Bengals, Steelers and Chargers.

Brian, thanks for answering our questions! As a coach, do you think the game today relies more on the coaches ability to teach and train the players or do you think that the players you have on your team decide the outcome?
    Brian Billick, NFL Network

    Brian Billick, NFL Network

I think you just identified the two paramount components in any team's ability to win. It always begins witht the capabilities and talents of your players. But to enhance and augment those abilities is the primary responsibility of the coach/teacher.

Do you think that VY, CJ, and the seemingly new Titans Defense could make a run for the playoffs after their performance against the Bills?
    Brian Billick, NFL Network

    Brian Billick, NFL Network

You certainly have to be impressed with the way the Titans have rebounded the last three games. But it is hard for me to imagine that an 0-6 team could run the table the last 10 games of the season to find their way into the playoffs. But there's always a first time for everything.

Hey Brian. What do you think of the Bengal's LJ signing? How much do you think he will factor? Also do you think the Bengals can win the superbowl and if not then what do you think they have to do in the offseason to make that push? Thank you.
    Brian Billick, NFL Network

    Brian Billick, NFL Network

The Bengals obviously believe that adding Larry Johnson to the depth of their running attack was something they needed to do. I am confident that coach Marvin Lewis has made it crystal clear and in no uncertain terms how he expects Johsnson to act. At this point it may be a minimal risk, but at some point in the season he may provide needed depth at a position that can never be deep enough.
  • Chris Alderman, Baltimore, MD

    8:55 PM ET

How do you feel about rookie Lardarius Webb? It seems like he could become the cornerback that Baltimore's defense really needs in upcoming seasons.
    Brian Billick, NFL Network

    Brian Billick, NFL Network

He certainly has shown signs of having the athletic ability needed to compete. I can't say that I've seen him play enough to make that type of observation of his ability to anchor one of the corner positions. but Ozzie Newsome is one of the best in the league in finding players and he obviously believes in Webb.
  • CJ, Chicago

Bill, should ron turner move jay cutler out of the pocket and bootlegged him to throw the ball downfield more and use the option plays as well?
    Brian Billick, NFL Network

In Denver Cutler moved outside the pocket on a regular basis and was fairly successful at it.

Why is everybody hating on MJD for what he did on the 1 yard line? i mean this game is about W`s not fantasy leagues. what is your oppinion on del rios decision? Thanks
    Brian Billick, NFL Network

    Brian Billick, NFL Network

I think it was a great bit of coaching to school MJD up to know that the best way to finish the game was to take a knee and kick a field goal. The only critique I would make is that I would have kicked the field goal with a little more time on the clock to give yourself time to call a time out and set up another kick should something have gone wrong. They kicked the ball on third down and had a time out left, so they left themselves a little bit vulnerable in doing it that way.
