Good afternoon. Are you all ready for Week 11? It starts tonight here in Charlotte on NFL Network. I'm looking forward to your questions today... -

Hey Bob! With the Cowboys offensive crap-fest last week how do you see them bouncing back against a Hungry Redskins team? Everyone is calling this another Trap game for the 'Boys!
Bob Papa, NFL Network
Marko. I see the Boys ready to bounce back this week. The loss of Columbo will hurt that o-line. After a loss, with a short week I don't believe it is a trap game. -

First of all just wanna say i love the work you do for the giants, big fan of Papa's Perspective! Isn't this typical of the Giants to start off great, then have a couple horrible games, then come out and play championship football. You think they have what it takes to come out of this slump and make it back to the SB?
Bob Papa, NFL Network
The Giants are as healthy as they can possibly be going into the second half of the season. The bye came at the right time for them. If they excute the little things and not shoot themselves in the foot, they are poised to have a great stretch run. They have a lockerroom filled with players that kow what it takes to win. -

Hey, does either team have a chance in their division? Oh, and I have Stewart in my fantasy. Should I play him?
Bob Papa, NFL Network
Joseph, I don't see either team tonigt winning their division, barring some massive injuries to the Patriots and Saints. The Wild Card is well within their reach. This is HUGE for both teams tonihgt. I think Miami's front 7 will play big tonight. -

SHOULD THE BEARS HIRE A DEFENSIVE COACH AND LET LOVIE FOCUS ON JUST BEING THE HEAD COACH? AND IS COACH RON TURNER'S PLAY CALLING IN NEED OF A SERIOUS UPGRADE?
Bob Papa, NFL Network
Dano, what the Bears need is much better play from their o-line. They have to be able to run the ball better. All of those picks last week were not Cutler's fault. Turner is a good play caller, but if you lose the battle upfront it doesn't matter what plays are called. -
Leo, Miami, FL
4:09 PM ET
Hey Bob, good afternoon. Which Williams do you think will have the better game this evening? Ricky or DeAngelo?
Bob Papa, NFL Network
Leo, this is going to be hard on Ricky Williams. He has to carry a greater role than DeAngelo Williams for his team. The Ronny Brown injury really hurts. Ricky told us last night he is fired up for the challenge. He said Parcells gave him a great pep tak this week. -

Hey Bob with CIN having road games at MIN, SD and NYJ, do you think PIT can still get the no. 2 seed in the AFC?
Bob Papa, NFL Network
Walter, the Steelers have a legitimate shot. The problem is the Bengals own the head to head tie breaker. Cincy has defense this year, as you saw last week, and that leads to road wins. -
Chris, Indianapolis
4:13 PM ET
Lets get to the million dollar question. What did you think of Sunday's night game with the Patriots against the Colts? Im a Colts fan and it seems like whenever we beat them, the media never gives them the credit they deserve. What do you think?
Bob Papa, NFL Network
Chris, I loved the Patriots gamble Sunday night before they ran the play. You have a future Hall of Famer in Brady and Moss plus Welker, Watson and Faulk. It come down to execution. Faulk bobbled the ball. Welker was even more open over the middle. With that said, Melvin Bullit made a great play to close on Faulk as quickly as he did. Then Peyton still had to get his team in the endzone. He did that and burned clock. Don't worry about credit. You got the win. Would love to see a rematch in the playoffs. -

Hey bob in your judgement what grade would you give the new england patriots secondarys defensive play this year? and do you think the raw materials are there to be a top level defense...as you know defense wins championships!all the best
Bob Papa, NFL Network
Matt, I think it is a young defense that will get better as we move along. It is not at the level of Patriots Championship defenses of the past but the offense can overcome it. I see the secondary improving each week. I will not right them off just because of the 4th quarter Sunday night. -
Kelly, Texas
4:19 PM ET
Is DeAngelo Williams going to play tonight?
Bob Papa, NFL Network
Kelly, he told us yesterday he is fired up about playing so I take that as a YES -
Justin, York, Pa
4:20 PM ET
Will Benson sit out against OAK? If he does will Scott or Johnson see a majority of the carries?
Bob Papa, NFL Network
Justin. I spoke with Marvin Lewis on my Sirius NFL Radio show this morning. He said he was "pessimistically optimistic". He also Randy Cross and I that there was a play last week that was blocked very well and Benson barely got through the hole. I don't see him playing. Scott and Johnson will get the touches. -
John , Rumford, RI
4:23 PM ET
Bob, Any chance you'll bring "Shaving Cream" back to the "Opening Drive" rotation?
Bob Papa, NFL Network
John we played it this morning to open the 8am hour introducing Jerry Rice, who was their to promote Gillette Fushion! -
Aneal, NY
4:24 PM ET
Hey Bob, is there any relation between you and Juliette Popa (hope I spelt it right) on 1010 WINS radio NY?
Bob Papa, NFL Network
Aneal , no relation but she is a very nice person and a great news reporter. -
Joel, NC
4:28 PM ET
What do you see happening in tonight's game in Charlotte?
Bob Papa, NFL Network
Joel two teams that are mirror images of eachother. They both lost their first three and were hurt by turnover. Both offenses need to run the ball to protect their QB. And both teams have some serious injury issues. Gross and Davis are gone for Carolina. The Dolphins have two rookie corners and a safety. Plus Fasano didn't make the trip and Brown is done for the year. I think the tipping point might be that Carolina can make a few bigger plays on offense. Steve Smith can be amazing. Very tight game with some good old fashion hitting. -
Brian, SF
4:31 PM ET
Hi Bob, I enjoy Opening Drive but miss Shannon on Friday's. I would love if you let your personality come out a little more like on the Opening Drive when you call the NFL Network Games. Is it possible?
Bob Papa, NFL Network
Brian, I don't think my NFL Network bosses nor the viewing national tv audience want to hear me sing coming out of commercials! It's a different job than a call-in show. I need to set Matt Millen up so he can give you analysis as to why the pay worked or didn't. Thanks for listening. I'll be on tomorrow morning at 7am eastern. -
Brad, Canada
4:33 PM ET
Bob, how long does it take you to do your hair in the morning?
Bob Papa, NFL Network
Actually less than a minute. -
James, NC
4:34 PM ET
What do you think of the NYJ vs NE game this week?
Bob Papa, NFL Network
James, despite the Jets struggles these team tend to play close games. It's the old division rivaly stuff. The Pats had better shut down the run. But the Jets didn't play against a sharper Brady nor Welker in the first meeting. Both teams are highly motivated after last week and the Pats don't want to leave the door open for the Jets. Plus they really do not like eachother. -
Chris, KC
4:36 PM ET
Hi Bob, How come Shannon is off your show in the morning? Thanks and keep up the good work.
Bob Papa, NFL Network
Chris it just didn't work out this year for various scheduling reasons. Hopefully we'll work together again in the future. He is a great person and very funny. -
Shane, Los Angeles, CA
4:38 PM ET
BP: I am not a Bills fan, but I really think firing Coach Jauron was a big misstep by the Bills organization. By all accounts, Jauron was a well liked, well respected coach in the locker room, and very likely was getting the most out of his players. In my opinion, the Bills will only regress now, and firing Jauron at the end of the season would have made the most sense. Thoughts?
Bob Papa, NFL Network
Shane, the problem was that the team wasn't making progress offensively. The firing of the offensive coordinator before the start of the season started the clock ticking. No matter how well respected the coach might be, at some pont ownership wants to see results. The offensive line situation doomed them right from the start. They need a complete new start now. I do not believe Mike Shanahan will wind up in Buffalo though. -
Kris, NJ
4:41 PM ET
Bob, the NY Jets in the playoffs? your thoughts...
Bob Papa, NFL Network
Kris it is going to be tough. They need to win this week. All three teams in the North are for real. The win over Houston could help in a tiebreaker. I also think Denver will get fixed and San Diego is closing fast. A win this week changes everything though. -
Luc Nguyen, Arlington, Texas
4:42 PM ET
Hey Bob, who do you think is better backing up Ricky Williams? Lex Hilliard or Patrick Cobbs?
Bob Papa, NFL Network
Cobbs is on injured reserve. It's Hilliard and Kory Sheets, who the Dolphins signed off of the Niners practice squad. You go with what you have. I think we'll also see a bit more of Pat White running the option. -
Marcus Fisher, NC
4:44 PM ET
I have this guy named tyler mills and he says Peyton is better than Tom but I think he is just outside his mind wat do you think??
Bob Papa, NFL Network
Marcus, they are both great. It's like ice cream. Which flavor do you prefer. -
Bill, Atlanta
4:47 PM ET
Bob, after seeing the replays and hearing his response what is you take on the Brady Quinn hit?
Bob Papa, NFL Network
Bill, what happened to the Brady Quinn that looked so good last year on Thursday Night Football against the Broncos? I would not give up on him. He is a smart kids with good instincts. His line is struggling and his best recieving threats play for the Bucs and Jets. Plus they don't run it consistently. A change of scenery would be good for him. -
T-Rob, West Badin, NC
4:49 PM ET
Hey Bob, do you think that Brandon Jacobs wheels are starting to tire out. Is he losing that explosion?
Bob Papa, NFL Network
T-Rob, not neccessarily true. They are not blocking as well up front for him. Plus he can be more patient at times. If he has to come to a stop and restart he is toast. The legs are fine. I kow he would like even more work, as all running backs do. -
Bob Papa, NFL Network
I am out of time. Still have some work to do for tonight's Thursday Night Football telecast on NFL Network. Thank you for taking the time to send in your questions and I look forward to our next visit. Week 11 in the NFL begins in 6 hours!
