Ask Jeff Fisher
Jeff Fisher, Tennessee TitansHi this is Jeff Fisher of the Tennesssee Titans, hope everybody enjoyed championship sunday. Got a great matchup in the Super Bowl, looking forward to taking your questions.
3:01 PM ETWill the Saints be able to get the necessary pressure on Manning to force turnovers?
Jeff Fisher, Tennessee TitansThe Saints have to be careful and very selective as far as pressure is concerned. Peyton is the best in the business at pre-snap reads and he can hurt you down field if he's able to sort things out prior to the snap. It's difficult to get to him with more than just four rushers. The best way to pressure him is with four, therefore he thinks he's protected.
3:03 PM ETAs an uber-neurotic Colts fan, I'm already worried about our shaky Cornerbacks vs. Brees and his receivers. Care to give me any hope, however empty?!
Jeff Fisher, Tennessee TitansYour defense has played very well down the stretch and throughout the playoffs. Those things that happened yesterday are going to happen in games. Corners are tackling well and covering well and you should be excited about the future of the secondary.
3:04 PM ETThis has all the makings of being a shootout. Which team is better at making on the field adjustments with their defense?
Jeff Fisher, Tennessee TitansIts not a matter of which team is better at making adjustments during the game. The colts are going to do the same thing they've always done on offense. The saints' defensive success will be predicated on the game plan implemented this week. The Colts defense, however, will be the unit under pressure on super bowl Sunday because there's no way to predict what type of plan the Saints offense will implement.

3:07 PM ETIf Manning wins his 2nd Superbowl now, will the Tom Brady discussion be pretty much done?
Jeff Fisher, Tennessee TitansThe great thing for the NFL is that both Tom Brady and Peyton Manning have a lot of years left. So raise the discussion after both of them have left the game. You should probably do it before the first time ballot hall of fame players are inducted.
Ryan, Boca Raton
3:08 PM ETDo you think Chris Johnson will have the same production next year, or will defenses figure out how to stop him?
Jeff Fisher, Tennessee TitansChris finished this record setting season healthy and is looking forward to next year. If we stay healthy on offense, then my hope is he'll have a chance to be special for the next few years.
3:09 PM ETWhat do you think of the Pro Bowl being played the week before the Super Bowl?
Jeff Fisher, Tennessee TitansWith two weeks between the championship game and the Super Bowl, it's an opportunity to provide the fans a game when there hasn't ordinarily been one. In addition to that, play the game at the same venue a week prior to the super bowl. hundreds of thousands of fans will be in Miami over the next two weeks and it's just a great opportunity.
Dave, Philadelphia, PA
3:12 PM ETCoach Fisher - much respect for your success in Tennessee in making the Titans a competitive team in this league for the last few years. As the longest tenured active head coach in the league, what's your opinion on the importance of continuity in the coaching staff to the success of an NFL team? How large of a role do you think Indy's OC Tom Moore has played in Peyton's and the Colt's continued success?
Jeff Fisher, Tennessee TitansContinuity is extremely important to the success of an organization. Coach Moore, coach Mudd and of course coach Caldwell have allowed continuity to play a big part in the success of the colts. If you look around the league, the franchises that are constantly making changes at the top have had difficulty competing in the postseason.
3:14 PM ETThe offenses have been analyzed, dissected, you name it. Given both QB's tendencies to find a new hero each week, which players could step up and win for each team?
Jeff Fisher, Tennessee TitansWe can't overlook the importance of the two defenses in this game. There will be players on both defenses that will have tremendous impact on the outcome of the game. A forced fumble, a great open field tackle, a turnover or even a defensive score could contribute towards the outcome of this football game. Dexter Jackson, Ray Lewis and Larry Brown have all been Super Bowl MVPs within the last 16 or so years.

3:19 PM ETWith Vince Young playing outstanding down the strech winning 8 of 10 games. Will he be the starter in 2010.Also what up and coming game our you most looking forward too.Keep up the outstanding work pushing the Titan's forward
Jeff Fisher, Tennessee TitansYes Vince will be returning as our starter. I'm looking forward to him having a great offseason. The next game I'm looking most forward to will be our opener this September against...stay tuned.
Ryan, B.C. Canada
3:24 PM ETCoach, which team do you think will win the big game? Any final score predictions?
Jeff Fisher, Tennessee TitansYou know, this game has a chance to come down to the end and I believe the team that has the ball last will win.
Luiz França, São Paulo - Brazil
3:25 PM ETI´m a huge fan of your work since Music City Miracle and even losing that Superbowl by 1 yard. Do you think NFL is more and more a pass-oriented league or this is just a cycle that changes year after year ?
Jeff Fisher, Tennessee TitansThis year has been unprecedented as far as the quality of quarterback play and as a result, this has been one of the most exciting seasons in recent history. But I have to point out that the Jets ran the football over 600 times in the regular season as compared to the league average of about 480. Additionally, Chris Johnson set an NFL record this year in yards from scrimmage and also broke the 2,000 yard plateau as a rusher. Stay tuned and watch the Super Bowl carefully. The running game may very easily determine the outcome.

3:30 PM ETJeff, the Titans made football that much more exciting this season with how the team turned the season around and with Chris Johnson's quest for the reocrd books, Congratulations! I was wondering, and I know you must keep it somewhat PC, however, why, in your opinion, has there been such officiating controversy in two of the better games in the NFC playoff series. Those games were too close to have so many obvious missed calls. What is your take?
Jeff Fisher, Tennessee TitansI thought the games were officiated well. In every game there's going to be a call or two that comes into question. I believe it was pass interference against the Vikings there at the end. I also believe that the booth reviews were correct. There was not enough evidence to overturn any one of those calls.
3:32 PM ETIs reggie bush a key factor in this game? will he impact the kicking game or the running game more?
Jeff Fisher, Tennessee TitansI believe Reggie has a chance to impact this game more on offense than on special teams. It's going to be difficult to have an impact as a punt returner because it's going to be difficult for the Saints to get the Colts' punter on the field.
Nick Shepherd, Johnson City, TN
3:35 PM ETHey coach Fisher, I was wondering where your point of emphasis will be with the Titans this offseason? Will you be going after defensive players in free agency and the draft?
Jeff Fisher, Tennessee TitansWe have a lot of young players on the roster that will be developed this offseason. I'm very optimistic about the weapons on offense and the depth so I think it's fair to assume that our focus is going to be on upgrading the defense and finding a returner.
Dennis, Denver CO
3:36 PM ETCan the Saints win the game if they don't win the turnover battle?
Jeff Fisher, Tennessee TitansThis is a different game because the Colts aren't going to turn the football over. Therefore, the Saints are going to have to protect the football and not give it up to the Colts. If you lose the turnover battle to the colts, you lose the game.
Jeff Fisher, Tennessee TitansI just want to thank everybody for their interest and participation. It's been fun chatting with you and I'll look forward to the next time. Thanks again and enjoy the next couple of weeks.
