Hello everyone. Thanks for stopping by. Never a dull moment in the NFL, eh? Look forward to this next hour. Let's get going ... -

Hey Jason! I would like your opinion on something! I'm a huge Vikings fan and I was wondering what will the Vikings do in the RB situation because they sold Chester Taylor to the Bears and they didn't get hold of L.T! So what will they do for a back-up for AP? Westbrook??
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
Hello Sherm. Tough blow for Becks, eh? I think they will look for a complimentary RB in the draft. Banking on Westbrook would be risky. Not saying he isn't worth signing, but even then you would want a young guy in the wings given Brian's health situation. Westbrook would be suited to that Chester Taylor role, however -

So Jason, why haven't the Rams made any offseason moves besides adding a few no name guys? Will they be adding any more players that actually have some value to the team?
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
Given how deep a hole they are digging out of, it doesn't make sense to splurge right now. The draft will have to be their salvation for a few years, then you add pieces via free agency. Fred Robbins and AJ Feeley make sense and they can mentor and be stopgaps at positions, but it's going to take a little time there, and spending big now on guys who will be past their prime by the time the team is ready to really push doesn't make sense to me. -

Hey Jason wats up Happy St. Pattys Day, it is my 19th bday today so can you help me out? what do u see the ravens doing with there first round pick? thanks appreciate it
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
Happy St Patty's day to you as well. I married Irish, so plenty of cabbage and corned beef around here today. When you are picking as low as the Ravens, it's hard to prject. Like last year, no one in their building thought Oher would begin to fall that far. In a perfect world for them they find a dynamic pass rusher off the edge, and if makes sense to move up and get that guy, the Ravens never fear that. They tend to do very well with comp picks, accruing more than pretty much any team this decade, which softens the blow of losing picks via trading up. -

What do you think of the Bills signing Edwards and Davis
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
I don't mind it at all. Makes sense and should be decent value plays. I like Edwards a lot, but his neck issue gave a lot of teams pause. If you keep him healthy he can be valuable. They badly need LBs as well. Overall, i think the Bills have a ways to go, but this level of free agency is where it's rational for them to be active. -

What is your favorite movie?
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
That's tough. Probably "Raging Bull." Best football movie is "North Dallas 40" though. -

jason, who do you think the cowboys need in the draft? should they get a offensive tackle to replace flozell since the penaltys are hurting them?
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
Yes, they are going to have to start getting some young blood in there at the tackle position. Will be interesting - do you take a chance on Davis or Campbell, who both come with some red flags, or do the Cowboys give up the 1 for a restricted tackle like Jared Gaither as we get closer to the draft? I wouldn't enitrely rule out that option. -

Do you think Brady Quinn takes over for Kyle Orton as the starter in Denver?
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
Not right away, and probably not in 2010. But if Orton slips Quinn could get his shot. Denver is not married to any QB long-term, I can tell you that for sure, and they have not been willing to put any real money in Orton's pocket thus far. -

Hey Jason, any word on what the parameters of the trade will be between SD and Seattle for Whitehurst or when the deal will be done?
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
It's beind talked over now. A future 3 would likely satisfy the Chargers but Seattle will have to decide if that's too high. Seems like enough motivation to get something done on both sides. Seattle and Arizona both liked him a lot, but with Arizona signing Derek Anderson now, Seattle looks like best bet and it's where Charlie would prefer to play. If it gets done, I wouldn't imagine it dragging on too long. Whitehurst will sign his tender from San Diego today, I am told, so that part of it will be out of the way. -

Thoughts on the trade for Tapp and the release of Shawn Andrews?
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
I like what the Eagles have done. They haven't gone overboard on spending. In Tapp they get an every-down player in exchange for a situation pass rusher, who, frankly, I thought they did overpay for in the first place. Andrews was going to be gone at some point. It just wasn't working out for myriad health reasons. They could still use more youth on the OL, but that team is in good shape to be very competitive again. -

why do u think favre was involved in the attempted signing of LT if he wasnt going to come back. do u think favre will be back?
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
Well, his role in the effort has been a bit overblown by some I think. It was more of an informal, quick conversation and not a full-blown recruiting pitch. But, to the larger point, yes, I have yet to see any reason or evidence for why Favre wouldn't come back for 2010. -

Hi Jason loving your work as always! What do you make of the Chiefs off-season additions so far and do you think they will still go O-Line with their first pick after getting Lilja and Weigmann? Many Thanks
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
Thanks so much. What I love most about the Chiefs offseason is the additions to the coaching staff. Love the moves there. And, yeah, they are putting some band aids on the interior linem but those moves make sense and both players know that city and team well. They may not address OL right away after using some high picks there recently, but with the interior guys, you should be able toi find starters in the 3-5 round, whereas tackles tend to have a run on them earlier in the draft. -

Who do you think can run the fastest 40 between you, jamie dukes and rich eisen?
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
Eisen, for sure. Dude has a personal trainer. He was like a draft prospect, pre-combine, training all day everyday for that 40 (okay, not quite that much, but dude could lap me). Now, me vs. Jamie Dukes? Hmmm. That would be interesting. I'll go with me in that race. I can tell you this, Rod Woodson would still run circles around pretty much anyone. -

What is the latest on T.O?.Are there any teams interested?
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
Don't hear much at all. He will find a team but it will be on their terms. He is a value guy at this point and the interest has been very limited, as it was a year ago -

Redskins just signed Grossman. Does this mean they will let him compete with JC for the job...or signed him as a backup for a number 4 QB pick and trade for JC?
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
He knows the system and knows Kyle Shanahan from Houston and they have OTAs coming up and only one real QB on the roster, so that's what this is all about. Even if they draft a QB high, they still need 3 guys, and with Todd Collinbs gone Grossman can fill that role. I wouldn't imagine a real competition in camp. -
Cameron, Chicago
4:32 PM ET
So do you see O.J. Atogwe staying with the rams again this year or do you think a team will pry him away?
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
I don't see him back there longterm, and if the Rams can trade him pre June 1, I suspect they will. They were open to dealing him last season prior to the trade deadline. Could see San Fran having some interest. -

4:33 PM ET
who do you think will draft tebow
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
I continue to have a sense that New England, with three second-round picks, could be an intriguing possibility. -
Andy, Scotland
4:35 PM ET
There are reports of JaMarcus Russell sliming down from 300 lbs. How can a guy with, arguably, the most natural ability and biggest arm of any Quarterback mess up a career the way he is?
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
I heard that on Total Access last night while waiting to go back on the show during a new update and spit out my ice tea. I thought it was a mistake on a teleprompter or something, but, yeah, 3 bills for a QB. That's crazy. That has to eclipse anything Jared Lorenzen ever put up, right? -
david washington, washington
4:42 PM ET
where in gods name they gonna use tebow???
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
Drafting this kid does not have to be for right now, and the Pats love the spread and this kid could catch balls as a TE and he could learn on the job as a back-up behind one of the all-time greats. -
Mads, Lyngby, Denmark
4:44 PM ET
Hi Jason. I haven't seen you dooing a mock draft yet. Are you going to. Because I would love to hear what you think. I would especially like to hear what you think the Ravens and the Chargers are going to do.
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
Thanks Mads. I don't get into that stuff really until we get to mid April. When we get closer, and the team's themselves start to lock in on certain guys, then you can get a better picture. It's just too far off right now. I don't approach that kind of a thing as - what should they do? who is better than whom? for me, it's all about what the teams are thinking internally and who they are most likely to take. but as we all know, all it takes is one curveball and a few players start to rise or fall and then everything is out the window. Part of what makes the draft so much fun. -

4:47 PM ET
Top of the Morning! Do you think the Eagles will get Bell from the Saints? He looks like a good deal!
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
Well, he has signed an offer sheet and frankly given the low tender placed on him and the fact Reggie Bush will make $8 million himself and Pierre Thomas will need a new deal at some point, I can't see the Saints matching. -
Monte, Buffalo
4:48 PM ET
What do you expect the browns to do in the upcoming draft?
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
Wouldn't be surprised if they moved up and took a QB. Have to leapfrog Washington to make sure you get Claussen, and if you want Bradford, you have to go to first-overall, I figure, and not sure they do that. Lions at No. 2 are very eager to trade down. Wonder if there gets to be some traction there as we get closer to the draft? -
Mike , Miami
4:49 PM ET
What do you see the dolphins doing with the 12th pick in the draft? Any chance they will attempt to trade for Brandon Marshall?
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
I don't see themn parting with that pick to do it. If Denver wants a first rounder for him, then the club should prepare for another year of Marshall there. If they are willing to play ball for two twos, or something like that, then I see more potential for them to finally move on. -
Josh, Wisconsin
4:50 PM ET
How come Green Bay aint doin anything in free agency? Dont they know theres no cap?
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
What do you mean? They are using the resources in the best way possible - locking up their own best players long-term, like Collins and Pickett, and knowing when not to stretch or overpay, like in the case of Kampman. They kept two tackles who, though older, have a ton of value to them. That's a very good team that avoided the pitfalls of over-paying on mediocre players or injury risks in free agency and managed to keep the bulk of its roster in tact. I love what the Pack has done. It's not about throwing a bunch of money around. We'll see how that works out for the Bears. I suspect, not so well. -
dan, iowa
4:53 PM ET
Jason, It sounds like Incognito has signed a one year deal with the dolphins. How do you think he will fit in to the Parcells regime?
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
he has signed a one-year deal - $725K base, with chance to earn up to $1.35 million with bonuses (most of which are relatively easy to reach). I like it. Parcells doesn't take any crap, Sparano know how to coach those guys up, he has the mean streak those guys covet, and if he can reign in his emotions a bit and not act out, could provide a real boost. It's a low-risk play, regardless, in that there is almost no quaranteed money, and everything tied to be active every week (he got $25K to sign and $50K workout bonus). -

U do an awesome job on this column. What do you think the redskins can do to improve last years 4-12 team
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
Thanks so much. Cool of you to say. They need to upgrade the OL with good young picks over the next 2-3 years, use free agency wisely as they have in 2010, and find a QB they feel can stay there the next 10 years. You get the sense Jason Campbell, to them, is probably not that guy, however. -
Stephanie Drossel, Rochester, MN

Right back at you, girlfriend. Thanks. -

is atogwe a good fit for the cowboys i know your a washington guy but please talk some cowboys
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
I'm not an anything guy, bro. I have to stay on top of the entire league. He would be a nice fit in a lot of places. Figuring out how much you think he's worth and what you are willing to pay him would be the key. -
AL T., Fort Lauderdale
4:58 PM ET
who is going to sign the 2 best safeties left in the market? Sharper & Atogwe
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
I still say Sharper ends up back with the Saints. OJ's situation should come into better focus this week. Could take a visit or two. Stay tuned. -

If you look to your left outside that window, you can see me in a coat on the side of the street. I'm the one selling cupcakes.
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
Oh, wow, how bout that. Is that you over there? My kids are all about cupcakes. If you have any special St. Patty's Day ones, bring em over. Nice trenchcoat, by the way. -
Tom, England
5:00 PM ET
And what do you think of Beckham missing out on the world cup after doing so much to prepare for it? Heartbreaking.
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
He wasn't going to figure all that much in Capello's plans, but tough blow for him. Kind of ironic how he wanted out of MLA so badly and back to Italy to stay on World Cup roster, then ruptures Achilles on a fluke play with AC Milan. Sports can be cruel. How about Chelsea/Inter yesterday? That was fun to watch. The Chosen One rises. Crazy. -
Jason La Canfora, NFL Network
Well guys, my time is up. Sorry I could not get to every question. As always, you can hit me up on my blog at NFL.com or on Twitter (JasonLaCanfora). Hope you all have a wonderful week and look forward to doing this again soon. Cheers.
